DESCRIPTION:Join us in beautiful Sitka\, Alaska\, for the 2025 Mariculture Conference of Alaska. Sitka is located on Baranof Island in the Alexander Archipelago of Southeast Alaska. \n\n\n\nThe Mariculture Conference of Alaska is an opportunity to engage with members of the mariculture industry\, hear from experts\, and connect with farmers\, processors\, researchers\, community leaders\, and other professionals. \n\n\n\nThe goal of the conference is to support the continued development of mariculture in the state by reviewing accomplishments\, addressing challenges\, and exploring opportunities in research\, innovation\, education\, and industry growth. \n\n\n\nIn addition to the conference\, this event will host the annual meetings for members of the Alaska Mariculture Alliance (AMA) and Alaska Shellfish Growers Association (ASGA). \n\n\n\nThe conference will be held in Sitka\, Alaska\, February 18–20\, 2025\, at Harrigan Centennial Hall.

SUMMARY:Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
DESCRIPTION:About the Course: \n\n\n\nOur class is accredited by the International HACCP Alliance and meets the requirements of NCIMS\, FSIS\, and GFSI (e.g. SQF\, BRC\, FSSC22000\, etc.) certification requirements. In class\, you will understand the 5 pre-steps and 7 principles in creating a facility-wide food safety plan. You will get templates and example food safety plans to build or revitalize your current HACCP plan.  The curriculum is designed with practical advice from industry experts. If you haven’t taken a HACCP class in a while\, it is a good idea to have a refresher course. If you are new to HACCP or food safety plans\, this class will give you the basics you need to know to get started.  This class does require a project to fulfill the course requirements.  This class fulfills the training requirements for SQF\, BRC\, or other GFSI-approved certifications. \n\n\n\nWho Should Attend: \n\n\n\n\nQuality Managers and Supervisors\n\n\n\nProduction Supervisors and Plant Managers\n\n\n\nHACCP or Food Safety Team Members\n\n\n\nSmall Business Owners\n\n\n\nAny facility that wants to be certified by SQF\, BRC\, or other GFSI agency\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nIdentify hazards associated with raw materials and process steps and assign controls.\n\n\n\nDetermine the likelihood and severity of raw material hazards and process hazards.\n\n\n\nIdentify critical control points (CCPs) and define critical limits.\n\n\n\nEvaluate a monitoring and verification procedures for CCPs.\n\n\n\n\nCosts\, subsidy and discounts: \n\n\n\n10% Idaho Manufacturing Alliance members discount available \n\n\n\n$600 per participant\, a $200 NIST HACCP is subsidy available  \n\n\n\n10% multiple attendees from discount available
